Description
The core topics of the theoretical electrical engineering department of the habilitation and inaugural procedure align with the core of the electrical engineering department. The knowledge relates to electrical engineering, industrial electrical engineering, electronics, microelectronics and nanoelectronics, organic electronics, photonics and optoelectronics, sensors, autotronic systems and the Internet of Things (IoT) system, electrical engineering and measurement technology, lighting technology, materials and technologies for electrical engineering and electronics, theoretical electrical engineering, theory of circuits and systems, methods of processing and transmission of analog and digital signals, low and high-frequency electronic circuits and systems, structure and physical properties of materials. The department also provides knowledge about processes, devices, and systems of production, conversion, distribution, and accumulation of electrical energy, power electronic systems and circuits, and electric drives and their management. Within the habilitation and inauguration proceedings, knowledge about sensors, sensors, and measurement technology, the principles and construction of electrical machines and devices, their programming and control, technical applications of electromagnetic field theory, electromagnetic compatibility, and physical engineering are also reflected. Relevant electrophysical models are used to model and simulate the operation of electrotechnical devices and systems. They also significantly apply to designing new semiconductor structures or interpreting the results. The core of the field of habilitation and inauguration procedures also includes basic knowledge of information and communication technologies and the necessary natural science basis. The individual supporting topics of the core are developed based on a specific orientation of theoretical electrical engineering in the field of habilitation and inaugural procedures. This field of habilitation and the inaugural procedure is linked to the third-degree study programs Industrial Electrical Engineering and Physical Engineering of Progressive Materials. The department of habilitation and inauguration proceedings is processed in accordance with the mission and strategic goals of the Technical University in Košice, which are determined in the Long-term plan of the Technical University in Košice for the period 2016-2023, which was discussed and approved by the relevant university authorities.List of 3rd-degree study programs in the same field of study:
