Description
A graduate of the study program has knowledge in the field of planning, management and coordination of the construction of complex architectural, civil engineering and water structures in terms of efficiency, optimization of construction projects within the entire construction life cycle, preparation and management of the production of construction products and materials, management of companies focused on the supply of construction and engineering activities and conducting research with a high degree of creativity and independence. The graduate is able to apply specialized knowledge systems and building information models, including the use of digitization and virtualization tools within the entire life cycle of buildings.
Learning objectives
Graduates of the Master`s program are able to plan, manage and coordinate the construction of complex architectural, civil engineering and water structures in terms of efficiency, optimize construction projects within the entire construction life cycle, prepare and manage the production of construction products and materials, manage companies focused on the delivery of construction and engineering activities and carry out research with a high degree of creativity and independence. The emphasis is on the graduate to acquire deep knowledge in the field of technological, economic and environmental aspects of construction, to know how to manage a team of workers in the field of construction preparation and implementation, to be able to independently manage even large projects and to take responsibility for their complex solutions. The graduate is able to apply and develop acquired theoretical knowledge, analyze systems, optimize procedures and solutions using specialized knowledge systems and information models of buildings, including the use of digitization and virtualization tools within the entire life cycle of buildings. Graduates of the study are able to understand and solve the problems of the construction industry at the regional and international level.
Main learning outcomes
In the area of theoretical knowledge, a graduate of the study program: • demonstrates knowledge in the field of comprehensive understanding of the principles of construction project management, • can use the acquired knowledge in the field of optimization and automation to solve tasks related to all phases of construction projects, • is able to integrate knowledge from various concepts of information systems, including complex controlling of construction production management, • is able to integrate knowledge about building materials, products, constructions and technologies in the context of broader concepts of the sustainability of construction, in terms of environmental, economic and social aspects. • on the basis of acquired knowledge, can creatively solve tasks and problems of various management systems of management of organizations and activities related to construction activities. As for practical abilities and skills, a graduate of the study program> • is able to creatively solve and interpret original concepts of planning, management, coordination and control of construction projects of buildings, civil engineering and water structures, • is able to justify various alternative solutions for the implementation of constructions using automated systems, focused on information models of constructions, time and cost planning and management of construction parameters, • is able to integrate knowledge for the formulation of tasks and decisions in the field of investment management of construction projects, • can clearly and unambiguously communicate concepts that include problem identification, analysis and implementation of extensive solutions related to the design and construction of buildings, while being aware of individual economic, environmental and social aspects, • knows how to creatively use the acquired knowledge in the design of concepts for the development and innovation of construction products and procedures, • can communicate solutions and their justifications when working in a team, when leading a team, planning and coordinating tasks related to construction projects. As for complementary knowledge, abilities and skills, a graduate of the study program: • has the ability to work effectively as an individual, as a member and as a team leader, to identify mechanisms for continuous own professional career and learning, • has developed educational skills to keep in touch with developments and innovations in various areas related to construction activities, • understands the necessity of observing the general principles of ethics and morality in the performance of his profession.

List and characteristics of the study programme classrooms
The facilities to conduct the study program involve two university large-capacity lecture halls in the university campus (ZP, L4, capacity 120-150 students) and three other lecture rooms just in the faculty building (capacity 40-50 students) equipped with the conference equipment with a large-area touch screen (CTOUCH system ), six seminar classrooms and five studio classrooms (capacity 20-30 students), five of which are equipped with the CTOUCH system and the others with projectors with an interactive whiteboard. All classrooms are connected to the Internet and ready to a hybrid form of education. The professional and research infrastructure in the educational process is covered by the faculty workplace of the Center for Research and Innovation in the Construction Industry and specialized thematic laboratories of the institutes.
