Graduate profile

Description
The Geodesy and Real Estate Cadastre study program is accredited in the field of Geodesy and Cartography. The field of study Geodesy and Cartography educates experts needed to fulfil the tasks of the state, the department of geodesy, cartography and cadastre, construction and industry. The graduate will obtain a complete university education of the 1st degree by completing subjects forming the study's theoretical, professional and technical application basis. The graduate's theoretical foundation is built by studying natural sciences - mathematics, physics and geology, which are followed by disciplines of a professional theoretical nature - geodesy, mathematical geodesy, processing and analysis of measurements, and physical geodesy. The focus of the study is the mastery of disciplines with a technical-application nature, which include local geodetic networks, engineering geodesy, photogrammetry, geoinformatics, geographic information systems, topography, land management, cadastral mapping and real estate cadastre. During their studies, students of the first degree should acquire basic knowledge in the field of geodesy, cartography and real estate cadastre. They develop basic theoretical knowledge creatively. They are led to adaptability to solving tasks that must be mastered, especially in the field of building geodetic point fields, data collection for state map works, information systems and real estate cadastre, as well as tasks related to spatial data processing. They develop professional independence and decisiveness habits based on a methodological approach while respecting the correct factual solution. For the sake of the student's independent preparation and work, computer technology is used with the use of CAD and GIS programs. The professional training of students is supplemented by the subject of Judicial expertise. The graduate finds employment in all areas of the department of geodesy, cartography and cadastre, in state and investor organizations, state administration bodies, and the business sector. He is ready to study engineering in the Engineering Geodesy and Real Estate Cadastre study program.
Learning objectives
The profile of the graduate focuses on acquiring theoretical knowledge and practical knowledge based on the current state of science in the field of geodesy, cartography and real estate cadastre. The graduate will be prepared either for studies in the second level of higher education in the field of geodesy and cartography, study program Engineering Geodesy and Real Estate Cadastre, or in a related field of study, or for immediate entry into practice. In accordance with the acquired theoretical knowledge, practical abilities and skills, he will be prepared for the performance of the activities of a surveyor, cartographer, professional employee of the state administration for the real estate cadastre, or also as a specialist in building information modeling - BIM or GIS specialist. He is able to responsibly and professionally approach activities in the solution of all types of geodetic works in local dimensions on the surface and underground and, appropriately, also regionally, respectively. global space.

Employability

Evaluation of the study programme graduates employability
The Bachelor's study program Geodesy and Cartography is a professional study program that educates graduates who, after completing their studies, automatically enter the 2nd level of higher education, the study program Engineering Geodesy and Real Estate Cadastre. Almost 100% of bachelor's degree graduates in Št. in the Geodesy and Real Estate Cadastre program, he continues his studies at the 2nd level in Št. to the Engineering Geodesy and Real Estate Cadastre program. Those who decide not to continue their studies at university can apply as: - independent surveyor - technician, - professional employee of the state and public administration for real estate registration and management, - expert worker of the state and public administration for the sector of agriculture, forestry, environment, state defense, etc. - mining meter, - geographic information system administration and maintenance technician, etc. - employee of the cadastral department, land and forest department, Slovak Land Fund, etc.
Evaluation of the study programme quality by employers
Due to the fact that almost 100% of bachelor's degree graduates in št. in the Geodesy and Real Estate Cadastre program, he continues his studies at the 2nd level in Št. program Engineering Geodesy and Real Estate Cadastre, and also in view of that, Slovak legislation and professional organizations only accept 2nd degree education in this field, we do not record a relevant number of bachelor graduates who would work in geodetic practice or at relevant offices. The study program at FBERG TUKE is fully implemented with the needs of real practice. Since the communication between education at FBERG TUKE and employers is continuous, it consists in solving joint projects with the involvement of students, in solving research tasks of a commercial nature, it uses professionals from companies in the process of completing studies by membership in state examination commissions at the relevant level of higher education, the faculty reflects the demands of employers graduates of the given study program and critically evaluates them with trends abroad.
