Graduate profile

Description
Graduates of the study program computer support of production technologies in the second degree of study deposit knowledge and skills for complex solutions in the areas of design and innovation of production processes and systems, comprehensively understand the issues of CA systems and CA technologies used in the preparation and management of production and apply them for the possibility of adjustments to individual requirements of practice and for the creation of specialized applications and add-ons. They are able to apply in both small and large companies in executive and managerial positions with a broad focus on all areas of engineering branches in industry. Acquired comprehensive knowledge about the entire life cycle of products with the simultaneous handling of work in PLM systems will enable them to apply themselves in professions focused on the implementation of construction and design activities. Graduates can perform leading professions oriented to work with CA software and lead teams implementing engineering computer analyses, simulations of production processes and systems, designing production units using computer support, robotics and elements of reverse engineering.
Learning objectives
The aim of the engineering study program "Computer support of production technologies" is to smoothly build on and develop the knowledge acquired in the first stage of university studies so that the graduate is able to implement complex design tasks starting with the idea itself, through the design of products, complex design and technological documentation, the design of the necessary tools and preparations , generating NC programs up to the production of finished prototypes using additive technologies. At the same time, graduates are able to perform static and dynamic analyzes using the FEM method, simulate production processes and systems, apply new production procedures such as additive manufacturing using robotic subsystems, product replication using reverse engineering methods. They will acquire knowledge about building computer networks, mechatronic systems, programming their own applications and numerically controlled machines, artificial intelligence techniques, expert systems, 3D digitization and visualization, and the introduction of new materials into the field of production technologies. Based on the above, the knowledge, skills and competences of graduates correspond to the relevant level of the Qualification Framework in the European Higher Education Area. Knowledge (level 7): The graduate has deep and cross-sectional knowledge in a specialized field, including knowledge of contexts and relationships to related fields, knows and understands theories, methods and procedures that are used in the field, with possible application in science and research. Skills (Level 7): The graduate can actively acquire new knowledge and information, integrate and use them in applications for the development of the field, can creatively solve theoretical and practical tasks in the field using theory and research and development procedures, can contribute to the development of the field by acquiring new knowledge while solving the above tasks. Competencies (level 7): The graduate can solve problems, coordinate procedures in teams and make independent and responsible decisions in a changing environment, is ready to take responsibility for his activities and decisions, taking into account wider social consequences, can formulate information about the procedure and results of solving tasks, communicate professional opinions with experts . Link to the relevant level of the formal education system: Completion of the study program of the second level of higher education. Proof of education obtained at the given level of the qualification framework: University diploma and diploma supplement obtained after completing the study program of the second level of higher education.
Main learning outcomes
Graduates of the study program "Computer support of production technologies" are able to work in both small and large companies in executive and managerial positions with a broad focus on all areas of engineering branches in industry. Acquired comprehensive knowledge about the entire life cycle of products with simultaneous handling of work in PLM systems will enable them to apply both in professions focused on the implementation of construction and design activities, as well as in professions focused on serial production, as they master the implementation of IT technologies in the production sphere, such as programming robotic cells, setting up robot-human collaboration for reverse engineering and additive technologies, and managing computer networks. Graduates will also use the acquired knowledge in the field of strength analysis of technological equipment structures, artificial intelligence techniques, automatic identification systems in production processes, simulation of processes and systems, non-destructive testing and application of database systems in practice.
