Description
The study program Innovative recycling and environmental technologies is proposed to provide students with a systematic and comprehensive education in the field of progressive methods of processing, treatment and recycling of raw materials and waste, environmental technologies and material analysis. The program is oriented towards the development of theoretical knowledge, practical knowledge and experimental skills, which are essential for solving complex environmental problems, innovative production, energy and material efficient procedures, support for sustainable development and a carbon neutral society. The study program is divided into several key areas both theoretically and experimentally: teaching covering advanced theories and practical aspects of raw material processing, environmental technologies and analytical methods, and innovative procedures and technologies for recycling and environmental protection. The program aims to provide and systematically develop in graduates critical and applied thinking for the analysis and synthesis of complex scientific and technical information, perfect control of identification analytical methods and the ability to interpret relationships between the composition, properties of materials and the behaviour of system components in the process or in the environment. At the same time, the goal is to develop the ability to integrate and innovate research and development methods and experimental skills in recycling and environmental processes, as well as the ability to work independently and in a team and lead scientific and production teams, competence in management and education in the field of progressive processing methods and efficient metal recovery or other products from raw materials and waste, the ability to apply mechanical-physical, pyrometallurgical, hydrometallurgical, electrometallurgical and environmental technologies for processing raw materials, waste and solving environmental problems of industrial production and consumer society with regard to the principles of circular, green and low-carbon economy, environmental protection and health while preserving ethical and social values.
