He can dimension and verify the proposed structures using simulation and experimental methods. He applies the methodology of the design of automated and robotic workplaces with the use of suitable control algorithms.
Learning objectives
A graduate of the second degree of university studies in industrial mechatronics will acquire knowledge in the field of mechatronics enabling him to manage teams of workers in this field, independently lead even large projects and take responsibility for complex solutions. He will also acquire the skills to apply the integration of mechanics, electronics and control into one functional unit and to apply theoretical knowledge and procedures for solving detailed project problems and tasks associated with business activities. The graduate acquires the knowledge and skills to analyze and apply design strategies for product solution concepts, has experience with hypothesis formulation, experimental design, hypothesis verification and data analysis. He will also acquire the skills to analyze and apply work procedures in an engineering experiment. He will acquire knowledge necessary for modeling, simulation and optimization of mechatronic systems. The graduate will acquire knowledge and skills to apply design methodology, procedures and tools and apply advanced skills in using CAx systems and numerical methods of mechanics and mechatronics in product design. He will also acquire knowledge and skills to understand and apply electronic circuits and verify them with the support of computer systems and create an analysis of the logical behavior of the product and possibly a synthesis of the logical system and apply it in the form of a control algorithm to the structure of the embedded control system. The graduate will acquire the knowledge and skills to design advanced systems with industrial and collaborative robots and the support of machine vision and artificial intelligence and neural networks.
Main learning outcomes
A graduate of the second degree of university studies in the Industrial Mechatronics study program is able to orientate himself in various areas and creatively apply the acquired knowledge in the complex design of a mechatronic system. He can understand theoretical knowledge, analyze a problem task and apply practical skills to solve a problem, and can also analyze, design, construct and maintain large-scale technical solutions involving mechatronic systems, conduct research with a high degree of creativity and independence. The graduate has the ability to have a creative and systematic approach to the analysis and synthesis of mechatronic objects, on the other hand, the approach to analysis and synthesis is derived from the mathematical-physical description of individual functional blocks of these systems, subsequently verified by simulations and experiments on real objects. The graduate has the knowledge and skills to design parts and assemblies using CAD programs and to apply unified procedures in the creation of technical documentation with the support of CA methods and to apply the principles of dimensioning and calculations of parts with the support of the FEM method. He correctly applies the methodology of choosing the shape and choosing the technical material of the designed component. The graduate has the ability to analyze and design more complex electronic systems and apply methodological procedures for the design of measurement chains with sensors, transducers, actuators and other supporting electronic systems. The graduate has knowledge and is able to analyze the mechanical properties of the system from the point of view of the principles of controlling its movements up to the system creation of hardware and software of the control system. He algorithms tasks and creates programs in a programming language and has the ability to apply control systems based on single-chip microcontrollers and PLC systems, which he subsequently integrates into the proposed solutions of mechatronic systems. Evaluation of the study programme quality by employers
Doc. Ing. Vladislav Maxim, PhD., manager of research activities, Kybernetes, s.r.o. a) I agree b) I agree c) I agree d) I agree e) I agree f) I agree g) I agree In our company MDJ, s.r.o. and Kybernetes, s.r.o. several graduates of Industrial Mechatronics and Industrial Automation second and third degree study programs are working. All these graduates have an excellent knowledge base and also possess practical skills and habits. Newer and more modern components and modules are coming to the market and it is necessary for them to continue their education, which they have no problem with. It is often necessary to consult with customers and suppliers also in English, and no shortcomings were found in this regard either. All graduates demonstrated their willingness to work in a team with other workers. Three employees are currently studying in the third degree of study in an external form, so some of our employees are currently also students in this study program. Ing. Jaroslav Rusnák, branch manager of TBH Technik, s.r.o. a) I agree b) I agree c) I agree d) I agree e) I agree f) I agree g) I agree Several employees from the Industrial Mechatronics study program work in our company, and we also cooperate with students on the Pneumobil student project. I highly appreciate the faculty staff's willingness to support this student project, which develops students' creativity. In the future, we recommend expanding the teaching to cover hydraulic systems and Bosch Rexroth control systems and linear technology. I propose to expand the offer of internships and excursions in our partner companies.

Characteristics of the information provision
Access to study literature and information databases is provided through the TUKE University Library: http://www.lib.tuke.sk/Library/Home/DigitalLibrary The library fund of UK TUKE consists of its own funds (books, scripts, anthologies, magazines, theses and electronic media). In 2022, the library fund consisted of 172,878 book units. The annual addition to the library is over 3,000 book units. The study room contains basic and supplementary study literature, magazines, anthologies, encyclopedias, language and educational dictionaries. Users have free access to them. As part of the lending services, users borrow approximately 5,000 book units annually. The university library has barrier-free access to 2 elevators and 2 barrier-free toilets. There are 650 study places and more than 300 places with electrical sockets for charging laptops and mobile phones. The library has 32 desktop computers with Internet connection, intranet, Wi-Fi network and access to databases of electronic periodicals. Through the library's Copycenter, students have access to printing and reprographic services provided on 12 printers, 3 of which are large-capacity for oversized printing. The library also has its own digitization workplace with a scanning robot, as well as a book scanner for the public, which is located in the study room. Currently, the library fund is being built not only on a physical level (print and USB, CD, DVD), but also a repository of digitized books from the library fund on the MediaINFO platform, containing over 600 titles, is being developed. Access to information technologies is ensured through ÚVT TUKE: https://uvt.tuke.sk/wps/portal/uv/software
