He is able to work effectively as a member of a creative team, or as its leader, but also to work independently with minimal guidance. He is aware of the need for continuous professional development and lifelong learning in order to conduct research with a high degree of creativity and independence, lead large projects and take responsibility for complex solutions. He is ready to enter the practical professional life in the public and private sector as a highly qualified designer of computer systems and networks, he can work in the educational system, in banking, transport, health, ecology, and wherever computing technology is deployed and used. He will also apply as a manager, marketing worker and operator of computer and software systems.
Learning objectives
The study program is designed mainly for students who acquired the necessary theoretical and practical knowledge and skills in the bachelor's degree. The program is oriented towards the development of creative thinking, the deepening of knowledge and practical skills in the relevant field, the development of technical creativity, the ability to solve practical problems individually and as a team using the latest knowledge of science and technology with the support of the latest technologies. The main goal of study in the first degree of the study program is the basic abilities, skills and competences in the field, so that the graduate - met the expectations of practice, the labor market and society, - acquired the necessary educational basis for continuing education at the third level and for his personal and social development, - met the expectations for the performance of the profession, - acquired the necessary habits that will allow him to quickly adapt to the needs of the labor market, which will enable him to apply in a wide range of professions related to the field. The intention is to equip the graduate with key knowledge, skills and competences in such a way that - in the course of his studies, he acquired deep and cross-sectional knowledge in the field of information and communication technologies in such a way that he understood the context and relationships related to the field of informatics, - knew and understood the theories, methods and procedures that are used mainly in the field of information and communication technologies, with subsequent possible application in science and research, - was able to actively acquire new knowledge and information and to be able to use them creatively in the development of the field, while also being able to creatively solve practical tasks using theory and research and development procedures, - was able to creatively solve problems, tasks, assignments in new or unfamiliar environments, in broader contexts that go beyond the field of study, - had the ability to integrate knowledge, coordinate procedures in teams and make independent and responsible decisions in a changing environment, while being ready to take responsibility for their actions and decisions, - was able to formulate information about the procedure and results of solving tasks and was able to analyze the problem and synthesize new solutions, - was able to communicate professional opinions with experts and at the same time to be able to clearly communicate conclusions and justifications to experts as well as to lay addressees, - he got enough opportunities to creatively apply the acquired knowledge and skills in the team in the context of work and non-work practice, and at the same time, to be motivated but also able to develop them during further education, or self study.
Main learning outcomes
The prerequisite for achieving the set goals of education is the use of learning procedures and approaches that support the development of scientific systemic, critical and creative thinking through innovative organizational forms of teaching. The education and key skills of graduates are developed in such a way that they have the opportunity to choose "their" learning trajectory based on an appropriate combination of profile and other study subjects and on the basis of the required profile for the performance of the profession. The graduate demonstrates knowledge and understanding of it in the field of study, which follows on from general secondary education and is typically at the level of advanced textbooks supplemented with selected aspects of the latest knowledge from the field of study. Can use his knowledge in a way that indicates a professional approach to work and has competencies usually demonstrated by making and defending arguments and solving tasks in the field of study. Has the ability to acquire and interpret relevant facts, usually in the field of study, and based on them to make ethically and socially responsible decisions. He knows how to communicate information, concepts, principles, problems and solutions to professional and lay audiences. He has developed the learning skills necessary to continue further studies with a high degree of independence. He can understand, manage and use information and communication networks and systems and participate in research with a certain degree of independence. In addition to the application of known principles, typical features are creativity, complexity, complexity and synthesis of solutions, as well as responsibility when making decisions based on available information and in new situations within the field. The proof is that the graduate has basic theoretical knowledge and a developed professional approach to solving the problems of production and maintenance of electronic devices for a wide range of applications. Graduates of the second degree of university studies of the computer networks study program of the study field of computer engineering can analyze, design, construct and maintain large-scale computer systems; carry out research with a high degree of creativity and independence. Emphasis is placed on the graduate gaining deep knowledge in the field of computer engineering, enabling him to manage teams of workers in this field, independently lead even large projects and take responsibility for complex solutions. In order for the graduate to use a scientific approach when solving problems, he must gain sufficient experience in formulating hypotheses, experimental design, verification of hypotheses and analysis of obtained data during his studies. The graduate uses a scientific approach in the entire range of applications, in which he applies advanced methods and techniques of design and development of computer systems. The graduate will acquire additional theoretical knowledge in applied mathematics, programming, business and management, architecture and structure of computer systems and networks, including their security, design and testability. He is ready to create, develop and maintain modern microprocessor and computer systems, he can develop the functional and operational capabilities of technical and programmatic means of modern computer systems, develop and modify application software for standard and specialized devices, and create and implement modern information technologies in various application areas. The acquired education will create prerequisites for a scientific career and study within the 3rd level of university studies.
