Employability

Evaluation of the study programme graduates employability
Graduates of the 1st degree of the Physical Engineering of Advanced Materials study program will acquire the knowledge necessary to master basic measurements, processing and evaluation of electrical signals that are a response to processes taking place in substances, the basic knowledge of information technologies that will enable them to use current software equipment in modelling and simulation of processes in the microstructure of substances. The graduates can be employed as technical workers in the laboratories focused on the research and development of advanced materials and the quality control of materials. In the field of information systems, the graduates are capable to perform or be in charge of professional activities, while cooperating in the development and optimization of the use of computer hardware/infrastructure. The graduate will able to cooperate in the purchase of software, hardware and in securing, testing, revitalizing and setting the parameters of individual elements of computer applications and data processing processes, operation monitoring, security measures, service, maintenance and repair of the system infrastructure, administrative and documentation work related to administration systems in the field of ensuring the safe operation of information systems in the organization and to coordinate the solution of non-standard situations. The graduate will be able to communicate with the information system users to meet their requirements and to provide them with the instructions and advice. The graduates have the opportunity to continue in their studies on the 2nd level of education. Most of 1. degree graduates successfully completed 2. degree of this study program.
Evaluation of the study programme quality by employers
Graduates of 1. stage of the Physical Engineering of Progressive Materials study program continue in upgrading their education within 2. stage of higher education in the same study program. Despite of the fact that after completing the 1. degree they are highly required on the labour market, the feedback from employers is missing due to the above-mentioned.
