Graduate profile
DescriptionGraduates of the study program "Computer support of production technologies" in the first degree have knowledge of physics, applied mathematics, mechanics and materials science. At the same time, they manage to implement complex knowledge from CA systems into various solutions to complex tasks, starting with the basics of computer modeling through more complex design procedures in the field of dynamic 3D assembly constructions, up to their very design of production through CAM systems. Students apply the acquired knowledge to the creation of innovative methods and procedures in the field of additive technologies and immersive technologies, such as virtual and augmented reality. They are able to independently create technical documentation and implement a range of design activities, perform computer analyzes and simulations of production processes, create programs for CNC production and measuring machines.
Learning objectives
The goal of the bachelor's study program "Computer support of production technologies" is to acquire a comprehensive range of knowledge and practical experience in the field of computer-supported activities in production technologies with a focus on innovative technologies such as additive technologies and virtual reality. The acquired knowledge will enable graduates to successfully apply themselves on the labor market, or to apply the acquired knowledge and practical skills in the second level of higher education. After completing the bachelor's degree, the graduate is able to solve challenging design tasks in modern CAx systems and at the same time has the necessary knowledge in the field of technological preparation of production, including knowledge of mechanics, materials science, application of production technologies in production. He will use the acquired knowledge in practice in prototype production or as a production technologist, designer, CNC programmer for production and measuring machines. Based on the above, the knowledge, skills and competences of graduates correspond to the relevant level of the Qualification Framework in the European Higher Education Area. Knowledge (level 6): The graduate has cross-sectional knowledge of the field with a focus on application use at a level corresponding to the current state of knowledge, has broad knowledge and understanding in the specialized field, including knowledge of practical contexts and relations to related fields. Skills (Level 6): The graduate can actively acquire information and use it to solve practical tasks in the field, can solve practical tasks in the field using usual research and development procedures, with a critical assessment of their appropriateness and adequacy Competencies (level 6): The graduate knows how to solve professional tasks and coordinate partial activities and bear responsibility for the team's results. He knows how to identify and evaluate the ethical, social and other contexts of solved problems, he knows how to independently acquire new knowledge and actively expand his knowledge. Link to the relevant level of the formal education system: Completion of the study program of the first level of higher education. Proof of education obtained at the given level of the qualification framework: A university diploma and an addendum to the diploma obtained after completing the study program of the first level of higher education.
Main learning outcomes
Graduates of the study program "Computer support of production technologies" are prepared to perform complex design activities, from the creation of 3D models in modern CAx systems and the subsequent creation of production and technological documentation, to the implementation of more complex kinematic analyzes of finished 3D assemblies. At the same time, graduates are able to generate NC programs for production and measuring CNC machines as well as for 3D printers. During their studies, they will acquire the necessary knowledge for working in a virtual environment, the application of information technologies in production, as well as the basics of programming, which creates a favorable interplay of acquired knowledge for their application in the current industry with a focus on digital production.

Employability
Evaluation of the study programme graduates employabilityGraduates of the study program Computer support of production technologies find employment mainly in their field of study. The acquired knowledge and practical skills predestinate them for employment in both the private and state spheres. The main domain of employment is work in positions such as developer, constructor, programmer of CNC stands, programmer of robots, worker in prototype workshops, production technologist, quality manager, maintenance manager, etc. Graduates also have additional and related knowledge about production systems, about the management of production operations, about technical materials and their testing, about vibrodiagnostics and tribotechnics, about the basics of economics, ecology and environmental protection, safety and health protection at work, etc. Year: 2018 Source: https://uplatnenie.sk/?degree=V%C5%A0&vs=709000000&faculty=709080000&field=2305R02&year=2018 Number of graduates: 65 Average salary: 1284 euros Half of the graduates earned more than: 1230 euros TOP 3 industries in which graduates worked: - Industrial production (90%) - Wholesale and retail trade (10%) TOP 3 jobs in which graduates worked: - Engineering specialists (60%) - Engineering technicians (10%) - Masters (supervisors) in industrial production (10%) Employed: 11% Contract workers: 0% SZČO: 6% On maternity leave: 0% Unemployed: 15% Continuing studies: 66% Others (working abroad, voluntarily unemployed): 2% Year: 2019 Source: https://uplatnenie.sk/?degree=V%C5%A0&vs=709000000&faculty=709080000&field=2305R02&year=2019 Number of graduates: 43 Employed: 7% Contract workers: 0% SZČO: 0% On maternity leave: 0% Unemployed: 0% Continuing studies: 93% Others (working abroad, voluntarily unemployed): 0%

Study department
Spatial, material, and technical provision of the study programme and support
List and characteristics of the study programme classroomsFVT TUKE is located in Prešov in two separate complexes. The first complex houses modern laboratories, computer rooms and lecture rooms, including an auditorium for 280 students. • Department of automotive and production technologies, • Department of computer support for production technologies, • Department of design and monitoring of technological systems, • Department of Process Technology. In this separate building, there are specialized classrooms for the teaching of basic natural sciences and social sciences, a lecture room for 64 students as well as other top laboratories of the following departments: • Department of Industrial Engineering and Informatics, • Department of Natural Sciences and Humanities. https://www.fvt.tuke.sk/studenti/infrastruktura
Characteristics of the information provision
Access to information resources is also possible through the TUKE computer network. The TUKE computer network and the basic network services operated on it form the TUNET (Technical University Network) communication infrastructure. TUNET is implemented by an infrastructure that connects all relevant TUKE buildings, as well as workplaces within Košice and Prešov (FVT TUKE). Library services are concentrated in the University Library (UK) of the Technical University in Košice, which includes all activities from searching in the library fund to searching for information in the online catalog and available databases (WoS, Scopus, Springer Link, etc.) to making available specific documents in printed or electronic form in the UK TUKE fund (the total number of documents is 186,966, of which 64,228 books, 40,046 textbooks, 7,779 anthologies, 6,341 bound periodicals, 7,718 electronic documents, 31,846 final and qualifying theses).
