Graduate profile

Description
A graduate of the "Industrial Management" study program can use the acquired knowledge, which is described in the educational objectives, in practice as a quality engineer and controller of engineering production, a production logistics manager, a manager of development projects and a manager of administrative and support activities.
Learning objectives
The aim of the bachelor's study program "Industrial Management" is to acquire theoretical and practical knowledge based on the current state of science and research, to master their use in the performance of a profession or to continue in a subsequent second-level university study. The basic cross-sectional knowledge of each graduate includes knowledge of mathematics, physics, mechanics, managerial economics, production logistics, production planning, knowledge of basic ways and methods of rationalization and innovation in production processes and operations, where all these partial knowledge move graduates to the position of experts in the subject areas . During their studies, they undergo professional and practical training, which is oriented to the conditions imposed in practice. Every graduate of the bachelor's study program in the "Industrial Management" study program is prepared for practice, where the teachers' effort is to teach students the necessary technologies that are used in the engineering industry, solve professional tasks and coordinate partial activities and take responsibility for the results. Based on the above, the knowledge, skills and competences of graduates correspond to the relevant level of the Qualification Framework in the European Higher Education Area. Knowledge (level 6): The graduate has cross-sectional knowledge of the field with a focus on application use at a level corresponding to the current state of knowledge, has broad knowledge and understanding in the specialized field, including knowledge of practical contexts and relations to related fields. Skills (Level 6): The graduate can actively acquire information and use it to solve practical tasks in the field, can solve practical tasks in the field using usual research and development procedures with a critical assessment of their appropriateness and adequacy. Competencies (level 6): The graduate knows how to solve professional tasks and coordinate partial activities and bear responsibility for the results of the team, knows how to identify and evaluate the ethical, social and other contexts of solved problems, knows how to independently acquire new knowledge and actively expand his knowledge. Link to the relevant level of the formal education system: Completion of the study program of the first level of higher education. Proof of education obtained at the given level of the qualification framework: A university diploma and an addendum to the diploma obtained after completing the study program of the first level of higher education.
Main learning outcomes
Graduates of the "Industrial Management" study program are employable on the labor market in a wider range of professions that are typical for manufacturing-type industrial enterprises. They can hold functions of a structural, technological, operational, as well as managerial nature. Graduates are able to independently manage smaller companies in all branches of production. They control the issue of technical preparation of production and processing of technical documentation. They have knowledge of production technologies, technical materials, production machines, tools and preparations, control of production processes and their management. They can ensure the operation of production-technological systems and improve their operating parameters. They have knowledge of the most modern management methods in order to respond flexibly to changes in the market. They handle tasks in the field of financial management, management of technical and technological development, preparation and introduction of new productions and products. From the developed analyses, they are able to determine the company's forecast, i.e. predict its future development, and can thus lead the company to successfully meet its goals. Graduates are also prepared to independently design the working environment with regard to safety and health protection at work, monitor and evaluate environmental protection. During their studies, graduates will also acquire knowledge about monitoring and evaluation of production processes, machines and measuring devices, as well as about product safety.

Employability

Evaluation of the study programme graduates employability
Graduates of the Industrial Management study program are able to work in both manufacturing and non-manufacturing companies in various positions that require managing activities, or demonstrate knowledge mainly in the areas of: managerial economics, the relationship between demand and supply, legal forms of business, digital technologies, production management planning, production logistics, information and identification technologies, business economics and industrial production management. Graduates will further gain knowledge about the chain: acceptance of an order from a customer, its gradual planning in production, development of construction and technological documentation, creation of price calculations taking into account production operations, then they learn what methods to use in the design and scheduling of production, discuss planning and production management techniques, they identify production and operating costs. Graduates also have additional and related knowledge about production systems, about the basics of PC technology applications, management of production operations, about technical materials and their testing, about vibrodiagnostics and tribotechnics, about the basics of economics, ecology and environmental protection, safety and health protection at work and Come. The industrial management study program in the bachelor's degree is a stable study program in which many graduates have successfully passed the state final exams. According to https://uplatnenie.sk, within the framework of the application of graduates, it is necessary to establish 100% continuation in the subsequent engineering degree, mainly due to the very narrow offer of job positions in practice intended for graduates of the first degree of university studies https://www.profesia.sk
