Graduate profile

Description
A graduate of the bachelor's study program "Technology of automobile production" has knowledge of basic science subjects, but mainly in the field of production technologies and technical materials, identifies the issue of technical specifications for the automotive industry in the world and knows how to apply the acquired knowledge and skills in manufacturing and non-manufacturing companies in various job positions .
Learning objectives
The aim of the bachelor's study program "Technology of automobile production" is to acquire theoretical and practical knowledge based on the current state of science and research, to master their use in the performance of a profession or to continue in a subsequent second-level university study. The basic cross-sectional knowledge of each graduate includes knowledge of mathematics, physics, mechanics, technical materials, CA technologies, progressive production technologies, knowledge of basic ways and methods of rationalization and innovation in production processes and operations, where all these partial knowledge move graduates to the position of experts in the subject areas. During their studies, they undergo professional and practical training, which is oriented to the conditions imposed in practice. Each graduate of the bachelor's study program in the study program "Technology of automobile production" is prepared for practice, where the effort of educators is to teach students the necessary technologies that are used in the engineering and automobile industry, solve professional tasks and coordinate partial activities and bear responsibility for the results. Based on the above, the knowledge, skills and competences of graduates correspond to the relevant level of the Qualification Framework in the European Higher Education Area. Knowledge (level 6): The graduate has cross-sectional knowledge of the field with a focus on application use at a level corresponding to the current state of knowledge, has broad knowledge and understanding in the specialized field, including knowledge of practical contexts and relations to related fields. Skills (Level 6): The graduate can actively acquire information and use it to solve practical tasks in the field, can solve practical tasks in the field using usual research and development procedures, with a critical assessment of their appropriateness and adequacy Competencies (level 6): The graduate knows how to solve professional tasks and coordinate partial activities and bear responsibility for the team's results. He knows how to identify and evaluate the ethical, social and other contexts of solved problems, he knows how to independently acquire new knowledge and actively expand his knowledge. Link to the relevant level of the formal education system: Completion of the study program of the first level of higher education. Proof of education obtained at the given level of the qualification framework A university diploma and an addendum to the diploma obtained after completing the study program of the first level of higher education.
Main learning outcomes
Graduates of the study program "Technology of automobile production" are able to work in manufacturing and non-manufacturing companies in various positions that require mastering basic activities, or demonstrate knowledge especially in areas such as machining of metals and composites, machining by laser, plasma, water jet, injection of plastics, casting of metals under pressure, forming, welding, gluing, quality assurance, metrological assurance, as well as construction and operation of production equipment, its assembly, revitalization, programming and sorting , implementation of measurements, diagnostics and service. During the course, the graduate will also acquire knowledge about the monitoring and evaluation of production processes, machines and measuring devices, as well as about product safety (statistical methods and quality techniques, legislation), which, according to the applicable standards for the automotive industry, must already be included in the development phase of a new product. Get to know the activities that require valid technical specifications for the automotive industry in the world.
Professions

Employability

Evaluation of the study programme graduates employability
Graduates of the Automotive Production Technologies study program are able to find employment in both manufacturing and non-manufacturing companies in various positions that require managing activities, or demonstrate knowledge mainly in the areas of: High-speed machining, composite machining, laser machining, water jet machining, plastic injection, metal casting under pressure, aluminum machining, forming, welding, gluing, quality assurance, metrological assurance, as well as construction and operation of production equipment, its assembly, revitalization, programming and sorting, implementation of measurements, diagnostics and service. Graduates will also gain knowledge about the chain: Examining the requirements of the automotive customer or its supplier, drawing up construction and technological documentation, manufacturing tools and gauges, technical assurance of serial or verification production, component manufacturing process, metrological and metallurgical analysis, validation and durability tests, design verification process and serial production approval. The graduate will also gain knowledge about monitoring and evaluation of production processes, machines and measuring devices, as well as about product safety (statistical methods and quality techniques, legislation), which according to valid standards for the automotive industry must already be included in the development phase of a new product. Get to know the activities that require valid technical specifications for the automotive industry in the world. Graduates also have additional and related knowledge about production systems, about the basics of PC technology applications, management of production operations, about technical materials and their testing, about vibrodiagnostics and tribotechnics, about the basics of economics, ecology and environmental protection, safety and health protection at work and Come. The study program Automotive Production Technology in the bachelor's degree is a relatively new study program in which the first graduates in 2019 successfully passed the state final exams. According to https://uplatnenie.sk, within the framework of the application of graduates, it is necessary to establish 100% continuation in the subsequent engineering degree, mainly due to the very narrow offer of job positions in practice intended for graduates of the first degree of university studies https://www.profesia.sk
