Description
The graduate of the industrial logistics doctoral study program knows logistics, transport, economics and management, planning, design and optimization of logistics systems, and understands the management, planning, design and optimization of logistics systems. He can design, project, manage and optimize logistics systems, create a methodology and new procedures for streamlining logistics systems, can solve complex problems, project and design logistics systems.
Learning objectives
A graduate of the industrial logistics doctoral study program will acquire knowledge and skills in the field of logistics, transport, economics and management, controlling and logistics audit, design of transport and distribution systems, CAD systems, information technology, modelling and simulation, quality and marketing, design and optimization of logistics of systems, can design, project, manage and optimize logistics systems, create a methodology and new procedures for streamlining logistics systems, can solve complex problems, project and design logistics systems.
Main learning outcomes
Graduates of the industrial logistics doctoral study program will gain knowledge and understanding of industrial logistics, applications of CAD systems in logistics, applications of modelling and simulation, controlling and auditing in logistics, design of transport and distribution systems, environmental studies and reverse logistics, logistics of company transport, logistics of continuous media, methodology of scientific work, design and optimization of logistics systems, design and innovation of logistics systems, supply chain management, technological logistics, has knowledge of the structure of control systems in the processing industry, mathematics and operational analysis, social and humanitarian disciplines. He has the skills to successfully manage the operation, management, planning and design of logistics systems, chains and networks in traditional production processes and also in fully automated, autonomous, unattended systems in the conditions of the Industry concept. He has sufficient knowledge and skills for problem analysis and identification of shortcomings and limitations with a subsequent synthesis of solutions to defined problems for the respective participating profession. In his work, he uses knowledge from heuristic, quantitative and qualitative methods in industrial logistics and computer and software support. He can solve problems arising in the operation of logistics systems independently and in a team, design, project, manage and optimize logistics systems, create methodologies and new procedures for improving the efficiency of logistics systems, can solve complex problems, project and design logistics systems.

The study program at FBERG TUKE is fully implemented with the needs of real practice. Characteristics of the information provision
For the development of the study program, the departments of the Technical University of Košice (TUKE) use the rich library fund of the University Library (UK), the mission of which is the information security of scientific research and the pedagogical process at TUKE. The digital library of the UK (http://www.lib.tuke.sk) is also available to TUKE students and employees, which provides: lending services; consulting services; reference services; digital services; MVS and MKVS service; education and training for writing theses. Library services are concentrated in UK TUKE, which include all activities from searching in the library fund to searching for information in the online catalog and available databases (Springer Link, Science Direct, IEEExplore, etc.), to making specific documents available in print or electronic form in the UK fund (the total number of documents is 186966, of which 64228 books, 40046 textbooks, 7779 anthologies, 6341 bound periodicals, 7718 electronic documents, 31846 final and qualification theses). Students have access to the Internet on the school premises and in the dormitories via a WiFi connection, which allows them unrestricted access to library services. In addition to the classic library collection, modern electronic resources with flexibly updatable study materials of various types are available for TUKE study programs.
